I know it's a million years later but I updated this with a non-shit photograph so I could make prints and show it a bit bigger. I'm not as fond of this piece as I used to be, but I do think it's really a big stepping stone of my artistic career, and I know so many people liked it :' ) Thank you all for your lovely comments.  hey, it's more schoolwork! and a lame title to boot! this was my drawing II final~ we got to do whatever we wanted, so i opted for some nice tasty watercolor illustration. i got inspired to do this concept (and it took me such a long time to get an idea, i was very frustrated) because a cardinal sideswiped my head. i love cardinals but damn. i used myself as a reference for the sketch, which was done at 3 am the night before it was due (what did i tell you? frustration!) mixed media~ dumpster cardboard (yay), watercolor, old tea, graphite and collage. art (c) me no birdies were hurt in the making of this art. just my eye, as i squinted into the compact mirror in a dimly lit room. thanks for looking |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. funny story, i had two cups of tea, one to drink while i painted and one to use for paint. at one point i realized my brush was in my drinking cup T__T but i'm still here so i guess i didn't poison myself xD;;

It reminds me of older style paintings you find in Chinese restaurants - the ultra pretty water colour ones.
